I have been in the digital area for 15 years. From client side development, to back end, account management, marketing strategy, everything. Everthing that is except sales. Now I am running my own small web agency and I have to go out and drum up sales. It terrifies me. I have picked up Frank Rumbauskas' Never Cold Call Again and trying not to seek the approval of others. That said what are the keys to great networking? All I have to go on is: be myself, have an agenda, and ABC (always be closing)
